About: Enterprise's mission is to create opportunity for low- and moderate-income people through affordable housing in diverse, thriving communities. We raise and leverage financial resources, advocate for effective policies, and provide programs and expertise to help communities create and preserve safe, healthy affordable homes. We also work to ensure that housing connects people to other resources critical to success, like quality schools, transportation, jobs and health care. Over more than 30 years, Enterprise has created nearly 358,000 homes, invested $23.4 billion and touched millions of lives nationwide. Since 1987, Enterprise has played a leading role in bringing together New York's public agencies, community-based affordable housing providers, philanthropy and the financial industry to address the city's most urgent housing challenges. In New York, Enterprise has created or preserved more than 49,000 affordable homes, and committed nearly $2.9 billion in equity, grants and loans to community development projects across the region.
